It also supports a selection of rear display sizes and an integrated camera module for AI recognition. VariKIOSK also has mounting options for third party payment terminals making it the perfect desktop kiosk for retail and hospitality environments.

POS Mode & Self Checkout Mode
In addition to its flexible configuration options, the VariKIOSK 217R offers true multifunctionality by supporting both POS and Self-Checkout kiosk use in a single compact unit. Designed with system integrators in mind, this model features an optional turntable base that allows the entire unit to rotate, facing the operator during assisted transactions or turning toward the customer for self-service. The main display can be rotated between horizontal (landscape) orientation for POS mode and vertical (portrait) orientation for kiosk mode, adapting easily to different usage scenarios. The payment terminal bracket is also rotatable, enabling the device to be positioned correctly for either operator or customer interaction.
In POS mode, the screen is set to horizontal with the rear customer display and payment terminal facing the customer. For kiosk mode, the screen is rotated vertically, the payment device is swiveled to face the front, and the unit is turned toward the customer. This dual-function capability reduces hardware investment, simplifies deployment, and provides a smart, space-saving solution for retail and hospitality environments.
