Compal Accelerates Climate Action
and GHG Management Toward
Net-Zero by 2050
Compal is strengthening its path to net-zero carbon emissions by 2050 with robust climate governance, verified greenhouse gas (GHG) management, and global renewable energy commitments.
- Compal’s decarbonization strategy is aligned with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) under the 1.5 °C scenario, covering short, medium, and long-term pathways.
- The company has joined RE100, committing to 100 % renewable energy by 2050, while expanding action on Scope 3 emissions (“Purchased Goods & Services” and “Use of Sold Products”).
- A Biodiversity and No-Deforestation Policy now applies to all majority-owned subsidiaries.
- Compal has achieved a “Management Level” rating in the CDP Climate Change and Water Security assessments.
Independent Verification
In 2025, SGS Taiwan independently verified Compal’s full GHG inventory for 2024 under ISO 14064-1:2018. The audit confirmed:
- Total GHG emissions: 287,007.7 tCO₂e (direct + indirect).
- Direct emissions: 12,471.1 tCO₂e.
- Indirect emissions: 274,536.6 tCO₂e.
- Purchased Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs): 122,678 MWh (hydro, solar, and wind).
Subsidiary Highlights: Poindus & Adasys
The verification included all Compal subsidiaries, ensuring accuracy across the group. Notably:
- Poindus Systems Corp. reported 93.2 tCO₂e in 2024.
- Adasys GmbH reported 28.3 tCO₂e in 2024.
This transparent accounting shows that Poindus and Adasys are aligned with Compal’s global net-zero goals and subject to the same international standards of climate accountability.
Together, these efforts ensure that Compal and its subsidiaries—including Poindus and Adasys are contributing to a sustainable value chain, with science-based targets, renewable energy adoption, and third-party verified GHG reporting.
