The Background

The legal barriers make it necessary for retailers to invest the operation equipment. At the end of 2015, Germany has announced of the tax changes and new regulations in the field of digital operation and introduced at 2017.01.01. In addition, Kamps Bakery considered that the customer should not adjust to checkout, but the checkout service must correspond to customers. Both of the statements were the reasons that Kamps Bakery decided to reload the POS solution.

An Asian Post who was established in 19th century plays an important role in the development of a modern society with enhanced information flow in the country. Even though the Asian Post is seasoned in this area; however, it had experienced a tough time which was e-substitution trend in 2011. In 2014 & 2015, the Post office started to implement IT-based integrated postal services system and improve interfaces between counter operations and the back-end support functions.

The Task: 

The Asian Post wanted to advance the service quality to embrace enhanced  Customer Experience . After re-organized IT infrastructure, this Post Office focused on customer engagement. Since customer needs are diverse, and customers are not easy to satisfy by simple service without communication. They had a display strategy and practice step by step.

1. Customer 2^nd Display: They chose 8” pole display as their counter 2^nd display for showing amount and making information transparency ; therefore, customers can get the transaction data easier and faster at the very first time.
2. Post officer operation: The Asian Post also adopted 15” &17” P-Cap Touch Monitor as their Operating equipment. Instead of switching mouse and keyboard to input, touch monitor is a better way to shorten the processing time and make the procedure smoothly.

The Results:

The Asian Post operates 122 post offices throughout the country In 2016. From 2014 to 2016, they have requested over 1,500 displays from Poindus. They can improve customer retention and engage customers without altering the operation procedure because they upgraded hardware equipment and made it effective. We all know the stereotypes of art galleries, and my apologies for using them. It’s quite common that artistic folks are looked upon with a strange eye for seeing things in paintings and sculptures that the regular folks just don’t see. I am guilty of that myself. But when an Art Gallery in Singapore decided to install VariPOS, I must admit… I was on the same page as the artistic folks. So let’s have an artistic critique of VariPOS.

Adidas, the famous athletic clothing manufacturer has a global presence, and it is a very influential presence. Upon opening a new shop in Sweden, Adidas was faced with the task of how to most efficiently serve their customers and match the style of their retail store. In short, they chose a system that is known for being sleek and compact, saving much needed space on their checkout counter top for customers to lay their purchases; a system that can handle high performance software so their business operations are effectively streamlined; a system that is designed to minimize thermal interference so the machine runs efficiently, even through hardcore processing; and a system that can maximize functionality, whether through the addition of various peripherals, or through serviceability. KICKS Cosmetic Retailer has adopted a modernized POS system which constituted a POS PC & display. At the time of hardware replacement, KICKS updated their POS application to touch oriented software; requiring a touch display solution.

The best choice of Poindus Display

They sought out a display solution which provided touch functionality and robust stability for heavy loading. The Poindus M358PB (17″ True Flat P-CAP Touch Display) was selected to be the best display that was compatible with the POS solution. KICKS was not satisfied with one-way communication and enhanced their systems by installing the M365RC (10.4” Resistive Touch Display) as a 2nd display to provide more information to customers.
